SmackDown Recap:
• Pat McAfee comes out to the AC/DC song, used as the SmackDown theme song.
He apologizes to the WWE universe for making them listen to Corey Graves & Bum Ass Corbin on commentary last week.
He says he remembers being roommates with Corbin while they were both rookies for the Indiana Colts.
“This ain’t TV-14 yet,” McAfee responds to something a fan said. He says at Summerslam, he will humble Corbin back to being a good man.
Corbin appears on the Titan Tron and says he’s a fighter whereas McAfee runs his mouth and used to punt footballs.
Corbin shows off red welts on his arm and claims they came from sitting in McAfee’s chair or from being too close to the WWE Universe.
Corbin says it’s like Monkeypox or something. This is the reason Corbin is not coming to the ring.
McAfee says the real reason is that he is actually afraid.
• Championship Contender’s Match: Liv Morgan def. Natalya (9:16).
• Backstage, Megan Morant is with Theory. Paul Heyman walks in and sends Morant away.
He shakes Theory’s hand and invites him to work with him instead and says he will give him a title shot if he doesn’t cash in his briefcase.
Theory says he is still planning to cash in his contract at Summerslam no matter what.
Theory says maybe after then, he will need his own special counsel.
• Viking Raiders music hits, but Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston come to the ring dressed as the Raiders.
Viking Raiders music hits again and the real Viking Raiders come out. New Day calls them imposters.
Erik says they are still vicious while Ivar tells them that they will mangle them.
Woods asks if those are the only two words that they know and calls the Raiders ugly.
The Raiders head to the ring and Woods blows his horn. Shanky & Jinder Mahal come to the ring and take out the Raiders.
Shanky then dances with New Day.
• Backstage, Kayla Braxton asks Gunther why he attacked Luwdig Kaiser last week. Gunther says it’s because there is no room for failure.
Braxton says there will be a rematch between Kaiser & Nakamura next week. Gunther then rips Kaiser's shirt open and slaps his chest again.
• Aliyah makes her entrance for a match against Lacey Evans. Lacey Evans comes out and tells to cut her music and start it again.
Evans says that she has overcome obstacles that the average American couldn’t even imagine.
She calls herself an American hero and says she is an example of everything the fans can’t be. She apologizes to anyone that she has offended.
She says that if fans won’t except her apology, then they can go to hell.
• Drew McIntyre def. Ridge Holland (3:24).
Post-match, Butch tries to enter the ring, but Sheamus stops him.
• Backstage, Paul Heyman approaches Madcap Moss. Heyman says he’s responsible for the biggest break in Moss’s career.
Heyman then says that if he takes out Theory ahead of Summerslam, he will give him an Undisputed Title match.
• A video package is aired for Maximum Male Models. They are hyped for their 2022 Beachwear Collection next week.
Cole says they have had over 8,000 applicants online.
• Madcap Moss def. Theory via DQ after Theory hits him with the MITB briefcase (11:55).
Post-match, Sami Zayn comes out and tells Theory that he is disrespecting the Bloodline and there are serious consequences for those who do.
Zayn says that as a representative of the Bloodline, he should apologize.
Theory asks Zayn what he will do with one arm and the Uso’s music hits.
Theory retreats, but bumps into Madcap Moss, who throws Theory into the ring post.
• Brock Lesnar will be on SmackDown next week.
Liv Morgan & Ronda Rousey's face-to-face segment is announced for the next week’s show.
• Angelo Dawkins def. Jimmy Uso depsite the fact that one of Uso’s shoulders was up (7:00).
Post-match, Jeff Jarrett is revealed to be a special guest referee for their title match.
Usos & Street Profits then begin brawling.
Referees come to the ring to break them up, but the two teams continue going at it as the show goes off the air.
